A lot of people experience a threshold to visit the museum. Through inclusive thinking museums become less exclusive – and more accessible. STUDIO i is an initiative of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, and the Van Abbe Museum in Eindhoven.

Chagall, Picasso, Mondrian and Others: Migrant Artists in Paris is an Exhibition about Chagall, Picasso, Mondrian and a number of other known and lesser-known immigrants artists in Paris in the years 1900-1950.
For the exhibition we designed and produced several pieces, including the poster, trailer and a short film about Paris between 1900 - 1950.

The slogan ‘Rather Turk than Pope’ was used by the Dutch “Sea Beggars” (1568-1648) in their fight against Catholic Spain. The Turks were perceived as having religious tolerance within their dominions, whereas the King of Spain did not tolerate the Protestant faith.
Within this triptych Studio Polat sets out on a search for similarities between the Islam and Calvinism and see what is still visible of this immemorial union. We helped out by designing and animating three scenes which visualise the various historical links between the two groups.

A series of lessons around WW II, photography and digital skills for the upper secondary education and the lower secondary education. In 5 lessons the students learn about the different ways in which photos can be used and how images have been manipulated throughout history. The lessons result in a photo shoot based on local stories from their own environment. The videos were produced as part of the curriculum.
